Swimmer & soccer player, age 14. In his words:

My Dad played soccer and swam and I love following what my Dad loved. I remember I could never get the soccer ball from my Dad when we'd play and I used to think "when will I be able to play like this?" I feel close to my Dad when I'm on the field. One time while camping we were racing across the river and my Dad was timing my brother and I. We convinced my Dad to do it and he swam across faster than what seemed like faster than we could run and I thought "I want to be able to do that."

Thanks to Dwyerfire I am able to continue the sports that I love and when I play soccer and swim, it brings me closer to accomplishing my athletic goals to be as good as I remember my Dad was. I think it's awesome what Dwyerfire is doing for kids like me.

My Dad was amazing. He was calm and patient, especially when playing with us.  He never pushed us too hard to expect too much. He smiled and laughed a lot when we played together, so I think he loved to watch us- even if we weren't good at the sport yet.
