After the devastating loss of his oldest brother, Timmy was driven to do something to honor Steve, to carry on his legacy, and to support his sister-in-law and nephews. In February 2023, he founded the DWYERFIRE GOLDSTAR Foundation, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, aimed at supporting Gold Star Children through sports and fitness.

Timmy is a 2011 West Point graduate who has deployed to Afghanistan, Kuwait, and Africa as an Engineer and Special Operations Civil Affairs officer. He received a master’s degree in international public policy from the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University. He currently serves as a Europe and Eurasia Foreign Area Officer in Washington D.C. He and his wife, Magdalen, have two adorable children, Goodwyn and Arden.

Timmy believes in the transformative power of sports and has seen the impact they have on both grit and resilience. He is committed to honoring Steve’s legacy by growing the DWYERFIRE GOLDSTAR Foundation to support all Gold Star Children in sports and fitness activities.
