A native of Braintree, Massachusetts, Gail graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1981, served five years active duty and retired from the Reserves in 2003. She has a master’s degree in education and has taught, coached, volunteered, and authored two books. She and her husband, Steve, a 1980 West Point graduate, have four adult children and ten grandchildren.

Gail considers herself above all else, a mom. Her life gained purpose and clarity on September 13, 1985, when Steve, Jr. was born in an Army hospital in Frankfurt, West Germany. Through the years, she may have added other items to her resume, but the only one that really mattered was motherhood.

November 10, 2023 shattered our lives. Gail is committed to make something good come out of this cross that we must bear. She is honored to play a role in DWYERFIRE and is confident that little Steve is smiling with pride at what his family and friends are doing to continue his legacy in sports and fitness and support Gold Star Children.
